Love

It’s only fitting that this Fruit of the Spirit be last. Love is the very core of our God. He IS Love. Love is what drives out hate, love is what puts differences aside, love is light in the darkness.

While there is still so much to do before Christmas Day, don’t let the little moments slip by you. Remember His great love for you. Know that in every facet of your life – the good, bad, and the ugly – God is there and He is loving every piece of you. He wants you to feel that Love and turn around and give it out to others.

The crabby lady that took your parking spot at Hobby Lobby, the tired checkout girl, your weird neighbors that you never talk to, that annoying family member, your spouse, your kids . . . Take time to meet them where they are . . . to Love them as they are.

Christmas is really just a love story from God to us. He loved us so much that he did the most extreme thing to prove his love - he gave up his ONLY SON, for us. We didn’t do anything to be blessed with this gift, yet He gave it anyway. And now, regardless of the life we live, the mistakes we make, and the ways we push him out, there is nothing, NOTHING, we can do to separate us from His Love.

When you are presented with an opportunity to give unmerited love, give it freely, no strings attached. He did it for you, so you could give it to them. He gave us His Son! Immanuel . . . God WITH us.

Merry Christmas, friends! We pray that you experience the fullness of our Great God this holiday break. May you be filled with Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control . . .

Dear Good, Good Father, thank you for your constant Love for me. Help me to extend your Love every chance I get. When I am down, or scared, or anxious . . . when I feel like I'm not enough . . . help me to remember that you Love every piece of me, no matter what. In Your Son's Name . . . Amen.
